There is a huge number of different brands and types of drinking water; not forgetting the municipal/tap waters supplies. Now, municipal water is quite safe and very inexpensive, so just why are people spending billions to buy water in bottles? Is it simply the convenience of being able to take small bottles around, so that we might have water around all the time? Could it be merely a fad which will soon die out? Is all of it me seltzer the new, cute, multi-colored bottles which are marketed towards teenagers or younger? If I were an investor, should I put money into this industry or wait to see what will happen?

Now, I'm able to understand in developing countries where the supplies of safe, clean drinking water are rare and many people are dying from the water crisis. So, safe drinking water could be provided in large bottled supplies and the children as well as others might be helped. However in developed countries with safe municipal water supplies it doesnt make economic sense.

The different forms of drinking water are vast. There is distilled water that is just H2O on one end and spa waters with carbonates and minerals on the other side. So, I guess before you decide what water is the best for you and your family, you must examine your reasons behind wanting bottled drinking water.

If money is not an object and you do not like the taste or looks of municipal water in your area then the sky's the limit in price and variety of bottled drinking water. It is convenient when you have a little child and you're simply traveling from one source of drinking water to a different city municipal water supply. This was often a challenge with my kids when they were infants as the change in cities supplies would always cause them to become sick. So, bottled water was really almost an absolute necessity as well as a convenience.

Bottled water is almost necessary in a very hot climate you can invariably possess a bottle of water along with you constantly. This is important during the summer time where temperatures could get over 100 degrees or more in some areas of the US and it's also very easy to get dehydrated.

So, it looks as if, aside from some of the about reasons, it is really about every individual preference. In short, if you like bubbles go for sparkling water. If you want great taste, opt for spring water.

However, in general, artesian waters rather than surface waters should be chosen. Artesian supplies are underground lakes, usually isolated from contamination. Surface waters and near surface wells and springs could be far more easily contaminated with industrial or agriculture run-off.

Put simply, there is no water which can make you appear younger or healthy if you do not live a healthy lifestyle. But if you wish to believe that a brand name of water could make you healthy, then buy it. All in all, most bottled drinking water remains safe and secure and healthy to drink. So if an individual brand makes you drink more water, then that's the one for you because the main and most essential thing is that you simply drink enough water every single day to help keep you and your family healthy and hydrated.
